Baby Boys Clothes
Ask any mother of a baby boy about choosing clothes, and she’ll sigh at the lack of clothing for boys. Indeed, if you go into any store that sells baby boys clothes you’ll find one or two racks for boys, and many more for girls. While some mothers hate that baby boys clothes are so limited, others are grateful for the simpler choices they are forced to make. After all, babies grow very quickly, so there is no real need for buying many outfits. Boys are also very hard on their clothes, so if you have a boy who enjoys the mud or markers there may not be any point in buying too many outfits because he very well may stain them beyond repair.
Not every boy is hard on his clothes, but their clothing should still be kept simple. Boys like simple. Baby boys when they play are often quite happy with a plain box or a Tupperware bowl. They like to hug a teddy bear as much as they enjoy pushing around a toy dump truck. Baby boys clothes are simple as well. The pictures that are their clothes are often bright, basic colors with simple images such as a fire truck or a dog. This is what will catch a little boy’s attention far quicker than a complicated image of princesses or monsters. Babies also enjoy basic colors, so a simple design in bold colors will make a baby boy much happier than pastels.
Boys are very active and their clothes need to be easy to take on and off. Baby boys clothes are often made to quickly be pulled on or off, zipped up, or snapped. Anyone who has tried to change the diaper on an active boy will tell you that buttons are simply too hard and too many snaps are impossible. Boys are always on the move, and while they might like to cuddle on occasion, most of the time, they just want to run. If their clothes are full of ties, buttons, and various other intricate things, they become impatient and unhappy at having to be still for so long. It’s much easier on everyone to keep things simple.
